Used in the 928 models and it is also used on the 1974-89 model 911 and 930 to fix a worn top steering shaft bearing. The original bearings used by Porsche® have a plastic inner race that contacts the steering shaft, when the plastic fails the steering shaft will move up and down while you are driving. Most times the top bearing itself is in good shape and it is just the plastic portion that has failed. Installing this bushing you can eliminate the movement in the wheel.
